Privacy Policy

Short, because there is very little to disclose.

Last updated: August 2026.

The short version

Every converter on this site runs in your browser. The values you type are never sent to us, never stored and never seen by anyone but you. We set no cookies, run no advertising, and at the time of writing load nothing from any third party.

What you type into the converters

Nothing you enter leaves your device. The conversion code is part of the page and executes locally, so a hex string, a hash, a token or a memory dump pasted into any tool here stays in your browser. It is not transmitted, not logged, and not recoverable by us.

This is a design decision rather than a policy promise: there is no server-side component that could receive the data. Closing or refreshing the tab discards it.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies of its own and writes nothing to local storage or session storage. Settings such as upper or lower case output last only as long as the page is open.

Because no cookies are set, no cookie banner is shown. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before the change goes live.

Analytics

At the time of writing, this site runs no analytics of any kind. There is no measurement script, no tag manager and no pixel.

If analytics are added later, we will use a cookieless, aggregate tool that does not track individuals across sites, and this section will be updated to name it. No analytics tool would ever be given access to the contents of a converter field.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard web server logs. These typically record the IP address making the request, a timestamp, the page or file requested, the HTTP status, and the browser's user-agent string. Logs of this kind are created automatically by essentially every web server.

They exist for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults. They are retained for a limited period according to the host's own policy, and are not used to build profiles or to identify individual visitors.

Third parties

There are none. Fonts, stylesheets, scripts and images are all served from this domain, so loading a page here does not cause your browser to contact any other company. There are no embeds, no trackers, no advertising networks and no social widgets.

Some pages link out to other websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we have no control over them — but no request is made to them unless you choose to click.

Email

If you email contact@converter-hex.com, we receive your address and whatever you write. That correspondence is kept only as long as needed to deal with your message, and is never added to a mailing list or shared.

Children

This site is a general-purpose technical utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Data protection law, including the UK and EU GDPR, gives you rights over personal data held about you: to access it, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to its processing, and to receive a copy of it.

In practice we hold almost nothing to exercise those rights against. We do not operate accounts, we do not collect personal data through the tools, and the values you convert never reach us. Where we do hold something — an email you sent us, or server logs held by our host — you can contact us to ask what exists and to have it deleted.

If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with our response, you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

If you are in California

We do not sell or share personal information, and never have. There is no financial incentive programme, so there is nothing to opt out of. The rights to know, delete and correct described above apply to you in the same way.

International visitors

This site is served from a content network and may be delivered from a server near you, wherever you are. Since the tools transmit nothing, using them involves no international transfer of your data.

Security

The site is static and served over HTTPS. Keeping conversion entirely client-side removes the most obvious risk to your data, because data that is never sent cannot be intercepted or breached in transit.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will appear on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes — particularly the introduction of cookies, analytics or third-party content — will be made before, not after, the change takes effect.

Contact

Questions about this policy can go to contact@converter-hex.com or through our contact page.
